like in a motor home and have developed this as a result.

Proudly australian built using local companies who specialise in

each phase of construction, using quality local materials.

MOERDALE MOTORHOMES, are a total breakaway from the standard build for travellers. Our designs are built for very high thermal (heat and cold ) resistance.

We have built in strength and comfort, and during road testing over 15,000 kilometers including, rough outback roads, river crossings, high temperatures of Northern Australia, and cold nights in the outback. There was little need to either cool or heat the home. Due to the strong build no fittings came loose and the whole unit did not require any repair.

We have provided a large amount of storage space both internal, and in an external boot.  The design gives large internal living space without the need of expensive slide outs. For overnight or camping no jacking is needed. A quick fold set of steps is included for overnight stops.   For more information and specs  CLICK HERE

The unique fold down wall provides a large extra room for external living while camping, with easy access steps and decking.

Simply lower the wall, roll out the awning and connect the annex and you have a large extra room to enjoy. Use it for dining, relaxing with a drink discussing the catch of the day, or as a bedroom. It is the same height as the main floor, and up away from the creepy crawlies, and gives a great elevated view of your surrounds.

All motor homes are custom built to order only, and features can be added moved or deleted to the customers choice.

This new design Motorhome is also suited to those who wish to turn thier existing tray top truck into a very comfortable and practical motorhome.

Once fitting is complete then it only takes around 15 minutes to put on, or take off. When off it becomes a  free standing unit that can be lived in, leaving you to

use your truck for normal daily use..

It is perfect for remote housing and for those with remote jobs or as an extra room on your property.

For travelling the design allows for total off road living with the features listed making for comfortable and secure living.

History

MOERDALE is the name of the farm on which I grew up. It means moving water. Living on a farm has provided a background of the need for practicality when building and using equipment. I have taken this experience into the building of these motorhome units.

After many years of travelling Australia in the farm  ute with a fiberglass top, and asking many questions of fellow travellers about what they liked and disliked about thier vans and motorhomes, taking into account the need for constant heating and cooling we came up with this design using totally different materials, with the end result of added strength and thermal control. Even the floor is super strong  due to the construction method.

The other main concern was the constant need of repair in other vans and motorhomes, and listening we decided to build with extra care and strenghth, plus easy access for service to all areas.

Testimonials

We stayed overnight on the farm using this motorhome like a motel room and found it to be more comfortable than a motel

room and extremely quiet. We had no need to use the heating on a cold night, and were warm the next morning.

The onboard facilities were great, and the 12V system provided everything we needed. When we begin our travels we will look

seriously at buying one of these units.

When we took our first holiday in the Moerdale in 2011 and travelled some 15,000 kms. We got as far North as Adelaide River

100km South of Darwin, and despite parking in the direct sun all day the interior was stiil cool enough to not need to use the

air conditioner. We travelled to Roper Bar and spent two weeks there and only used the 12Volt system which fully sustained

the vehicle, lights and two fridges. We never once felt hot despite thirty+ degrees during the day. Sleeping at night was very

comfortable. The water supply was topped up from the river through filters, and the gas stove and hot water made living easy.

Despite it being a prototype we were very happy with it's total performance and comfort. Despite some of the road being very

rough dirt nothing broke or came loose, and it handled river crossings easily.

We then travelled South and West to Ceduna and finally home to Penola. The 400L of fuel gave us up to 2,00kms between fuel

stops, We averaged 19L/100km doing 100 km/hr, and driving using cruise control made travel easy.

Overnight stops were simple with no setup, or jacking needed, just go from driving to relaxing.

I took one look inside the Moerdale and fell in love again! In my time travelling the festival scene all over Australia, I've never come accross a more practical, spacious R/V, and I've used my fair share of JayCo's, Winnebagos, the lot! First big difference was the excelent fuel economy, long range tanks made fill-ups cheaper and the distance further than any other R/V.. Would you believe 2000kms on ONE fill-up!? Driving comfort was a dream, Air-ride seats made the off-road travel, and travel in general, tireless after any stint, still able to have a beer and enjoy the company of others at the road side stops. Also, truck stopping on the way to or from your destination is a breeze, as soon as you've parked, and the motors off, all systems are go!

The interior layout is very well set out and roomy, with high power 12v LEDs to see what your'e cooking up in the outback in any light. I loved the dropside living space and the insulation on the inside made dealing with those 40 degree festival days so much cruisier. The solar panels are perfect for the power consumption of all the appliances that come with Moerdale, even the ice maker on a hot summer day ;)

All in all, very pleased with my Moerdale, and would reccommend these over any other big name brand for quality AND price, its a fair dinkum bargain! Oh and the best thing, she's DUST FREE :)
